TUBELESS TECHNOLOGY

From the beginning we believed in tubeless technology and did a lot of pioneering work in research and development. Today we are convinced: Tubeless is the tire technology for performance-oriented cyclists! This applies to use on mountain and gravel bikes and especially on racing bikes.

ADVANTAGES THROUGH TUBELESS

  • Less rolling resistance. There is no friction between tire and tube. This significantly reduces rolling resistance.

  • More grip. Tubeless can be ridden with less air pressure without sacrificing performance. This brings noticeable advantages in terms of comfort, but also significantly more control in critical situations and on bad routes.

  • High puncture resistance. Tubeless systems offer very high puncture resistance. Sudden air loss due to bursting hoses or valve tears is excluded. At the same time, a puncture protection liquid (e.g. Schwalbe Doc Blue) seals punctures again within tenths of a second while riding.

HOW YOU CAN RECOGNIZE A TUBELESS TIRE
You can see whether the tire is tubeless by looking at the marking on the sidewall of the tire.

TUBELESS EASY

Schwalbe Tubeless Easy technology enables riding pleasure without a tube, even for high-pressure tires.

  • Tubeless tires for racing bikes, touring bikes, crossers and gravel bikes are significantly lighter and faster.
  • Easy assembly and a perfect and secure fit on the rim.
  • The reference for tubeless.

TUBELESS EASY MICROSKIN
MicroSkin envelops the entire carcass and enables problem-free Tubeless Easy operation, even for high-pressure tires. And quite incidentally, MicroSkin also improves cut safety. MicroSkin is used on the Schwalbe One.

INTEGRATED TUBELESS EASY TECHNOLOGY

In the new Schwalbe Souplesse Carcass construction, the Tubeless Easy technology is directly integrated in the most advanced way. This makes the tire so incomparably supple and comfortable. The riding experience resembles the silky soft behavior of a classic tubular tire. Available exclusively with the tubeless top models.

NOTE FOR FIRST INSTALLATION: Schwalbe Pro One and Schwalbe Pro One TT Tubeless Easy tires must be used with Doc Blue sealing fluid. min. 60ml per tire. The sealant must be worked into the tires immediately after installation by riding for at least 25 km.
If the instructions for initial fitting are not followed, the sealing of the tire cannot be guaranteed!

REQUIREMENTS OF THE OPTIMUM RIM FOR SCHWALBE TUBELESS RACING TIRES

TUBELESS EASY MTB EVO

  • The monofilament fabric on the sidewall makes the tubeless conversion for MTB extremely easy and safe
  •  At the same time, it is the best cut protection on the side wall.
  • Tubeless Easy is the excellent tubeless standard for all Schwalbe MTB tires in the EVOLUTION line.

TUBELESS EASY
MTB PERFORMANCE

  • Extra stable tire core, sidewall reinforced with rubber.
  • Tubeless for Schwalbe Performance Line tires.

TUBELESS INSTALLATION

SIMPLER THAN I THOUGHT!

  1. Mount the tire on the rim as usual. Use tire levers very carefully. Important: Before inflating, coat both tire beads with assembly fluid.
  2. The valve must be between the beads when inflating.
  3. The first inflation requires a strong blast of air (floor pump or compressor).
  4. To ensure the tire is seated correctly on the rim check that the seam line near the tire bead runs concentrically to the lip of the rim all the way round on both sides of the tire.
  5. Then release air again. Remove the valve insert (the valve key is included with Doc Blue) and fill in 60 ml of Doc Blue puncture protection liquid.

  • Always observe the maximum air pressure specifications for tires and rims.
  • Please do not use CO2 cartridges for inflation. CO2 has an unfavorable effect on the puncture protection fluid.
  • In general, care should be taken when handling the sealant. It is easy to leave permanent stains on clothing or furnishings.

ARE TUBELESS TIRES FOR EVERYONE?

The advantages are particularly interesting for sporty drivers who want maximum performance. The system is technically demanding and requires a tubeless compatible wheel. If you are looking for a low-maintenance set-up, then the hose system is the right choice for you. If you want the best driving performance, then there is no way around tubeless.

WHEN DOES A TIRE RUN OUT?

A bicycle tire wears, for example, depending on the intensity of use, running time, load, surface, air pressure, rubber compound, etc. It is therefore difficult to make a general statement about the mileage of a tire. However, if you pay attention to factors such as the correct air pressure, you can positively influence the mileage of a tire. How it works?
