Schwalbe warns against online shops that incorrectly refer to the Schwalbe brand without actually offering Schwalbe products.
In the past few months, there have been several cases in which e-commerce sites make a prominent reference to Schwalbe: with the logo, product photos or even entire item descriptions. This suggests that it is an official Schwalbe shop. With these deceptively real-looking fake shops, buyers who pay money but never receive a product are scammed.
Schwalbe has taken various measures to protect its customers from fraud. On the one hand, there is permanent domain monitoring, in which the Internet is searched for pages that make a connection to Schwalbe and thus give the impression of having a business relationship with the brand. At the same time, the family business takes legal action against all fake shops. Several cases have already been successfully completed in this way and the pages are no longer accessible.

What to watch out for in suspicious shops online:
- Checking the payment methods (caution if only prepayment is possible)
- Trial call if in doubt, as fake shop numbers often go nowhere
- Verification of commercial register numbers
