Airless Tube
The core of the Airless System is the newly developed Airless Tube, made of E-TPU (expanded thermoplastic polyurethane). This material has four significant characteristics:

Safety comes first. To ensure safety the Schwalbe Airless System may only be assembled by certified bicycle specialist shops. Dealers who own the Schwalbe-Airless-Certificate have mechanics who are trained to work with the system and a special SAS mounting tool. Without the mounting tool correct assembly isn't possible. Liability and damages as a consequence of an improper assembly is therefor excluded.

WHAT IS THE AIRLESS SYSTEM BEST FOR?
For cycling in the city or for commuting. Of course also for short weekend tours. The tread patterns of the special AIRLESS tires are primarily designed for tarmac and gravel roads.
FOR WHICH TYPE OF CYCLIST IS THE AIRLESS SYSTEM SUITABLE?
The AIRLESS system is suitable for all cyclists who prefer puncture protection and a maintenance-free system. It is also suitable for those who never want to pump again.
FOR WHICH TYPE OF CYCLIST IS THE AIRLESS SYSTEM NOT SUITABLE?
For cyclists who prefer light, fast tires and those who are used to riding with high air pressures. For cyclists who are fast and sporty on the road and regularly ride longer tours, there are more suitable Schwalbe tires. Ask your bicycle retailer.
FOR WHICH WEIGHT OF CYCLIST IS THE AIRLESS SYSTEM SUITABLE?
For best performance and riding characteristics the cyclist may weigh up to 95 kg. The additional weight of the bicycle or e-bike is taken into account. If the rider's weight is higher, the virtual air pressure of approx. 3.5 bar (version 40-622) could be perceived as too low. This leads to poorer riding performance and possibly faster tire wear. A Marathon Plus with a butyl tube and higher air pressure is then the better choice.
CAN THE AIRLESS SYSTEM BE USED ON AN E-BIKE?
Yes, the AIRLESS system is an ideal addition for E-Bikes (Pedelcs) with motor assist up to 25 km/h. Of course you have to pay attention to the tire size. The system should not be used on fast E-Bikes (Pedelcs) with motor assist up to 45 km/h.
