LAURA PHILIPP TO THE EM TITLE IN WORLD RECORD TIME

TRIATHLETE RACES TO DEFEND TITLE AT IRONMAN IN HAMBURG

Laura Philipp in top form. After winning the Ironman 70.3 in Kraichgau, she won European Championship gold over the full distance in Hamburg at the weekend. With an overall time of 8:18:20 hours, she set a new Ironman world record. With this, Philipp defended her European Championship title, which she had won in Finland last year.

She was riding Schwalbe's flagship road bike, the Pro One TT. With it, she distanced herself from the competition on the bike course with the fastest time (4:31:14).

Philipp thus made a brilliant return after her Corona infection. She had therefore had to cancel the Ironman World Championships in St. Georg.
