GRAVEL: SCHWALBE RIDERS WITH TERRIFIC WINNING STREAK
Three races, three wins - Schwalbe's Gravel Racing tires dominate the start of the gravel season.
The Gravel Locos was the ultimate endurance test before the season highlight Unbound Gravel in early June: more than 240 kilometers at up to 37 degrees in Texas heat. And in the end Schwalbe celebrated a double victory. Jasper Ockeloen won after a successful attack ahead of Girona winner Ivar Slik. Paul Voss finished in 14th place.
Two weeks earlier in Girona, Spain. Ivar Slik triumphed on Schwalbe at The Traka in Girona, the first gravel race of the year. In a thrilling sprint to the finish, he won directly against six competitors.
Not to be forgotten: Paul Voss also already has his first win of the season to his credit. He won the Red Bull Rio Grande after a long solo ride.
